Invented by the famous inventor Buckminster Fuller, the Dymaxion Car was a prototype with a highly unique design. Its aerodynamic structure allowed it to beat speed records and carry 11 passengers with a fuel economy of 36 mpg - extremely good for the 1930's! It had three wheels, and because the rear wheel could turn a full 90 degrees, the car could spin in tight circles. Only three were ever built, but the Dymaxion was nonetheless an influential and memorable concept car.
