This book is composed of illustrations by Fannie Hillsmith and text from a manuscript rescued from a New England attic by Fannie Hillsmith. This book contains over 25 illustrations by Hillsmith. The late Fannie Hillsmith was a famous Cubist painter who passed away in 2007. Her works appear in The Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Her works were exhibited in the Susan Teller Gallery in Soho, New Hampshire. This is the 3rd book she has had published. Hillmsith's style of Cubism combined traditional Cubist motifs with what she called "an early American feeling." She was influenced by such painters as Picasso, Gris and Miró, according to The New York Times. 

Fannie Hillsith's work is a part of the Asheville Art MUseum collection.
