About the Musicians:

Band Leader and vocalist, Bronwyn Cronin
Bronwyn Cronin’s voice has graced venues as magnificent as the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France as well as obscure villages in Nepal and India.  Although classically trained in Opera with the late Gimi Beni, the singer feels most at home swinging to the familiar melodies of the Great American Songbook. The vocalist describes improvisation as both
“freeing and exhilarating!” Bronwyn is a third-generation jazz performer whose mother was a singer-songwriter and grandpa was a classically trained violinist and self-taught jazz pianist. The musician resides in the Upstate of South Carolina with her husband, Derek Cronin, along with their two children, Aria and Ezra. Bronwyn is also the author of the beloved children’s book, The Goodnight Song, and her second book is scheduled to be released Spring of 2026.

Pianist, Alex Taub

Alex Taub approaches the piano with the understanding that eighty-eight keys contain infinite possibilities—not just for melody and harmony, but for creating entire emotional landscapes within the span of a single song. His touch reveals the instrument's dual nature as both percussive and sustained, finding the spaces between classical precision and jazz spontaneity where the most interesting musical conversations happen. Taub's playing reflects the best of contemporary piano artistry: technically accomplished yet never ostentatious, harmonically sophisticated yet always in service of the song's deeper emotional truth. Whether providing the rhythmic foundation that anchors an ensemble or stepping forward for introspective solo passages that reveal new dimensions of familiar standards, he embodies the pianist's unique role as both accompanist and architect. This is piano playing that understands its responsibility to the tradition while remaining unafraid to explore uncharted harmonic territories, proving that the most compelling musical statements emerge when years of disciplined study meet moments of pure creative inspiration.

Bassist, Zack Page

Zack Page has been performing as a professional bassist since the early ’90s.  His work with various jazz ensembles, theater companies, and the cruise industry has taken him to all 50 U.S. States, the Caribbean islands, Australia, South America, Europe and the Far East. In a jazz setting, Zack has had the good fortune to play and/or record with Billy Higgins, Delfeayo Marsalis, Cyrus Chestnut, Marvin Stamm, Eddie Daniels and Babik Reinhardt, the son of gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.  Following time spent in Los Angeles and New York City, Zack and his family relocated to Asheville, NC where he enjoys a busy freelance schedule with many of North Carolina’s finest musicians.
