Rising Stars Concert is a collaboration between the Asheville Chamber Music Series and the Asheville Art Museum, featuring North Carolina musicians embarking on a major concert career. The event is sponsored and made possible by Heidi DuBose.

About the Rising Star:

Andrew Ning is a senior at Riverside High School in Greer, South Carolina. Guided by his teacher, Lisa Kiser, he enjoys participating in piano competitions at regional, state, and national levels. Some of his recent achievements include first place in the 2025 Asheville Area Piano Forum Piano Competition (Advanced level), first prize in the 2025 W. Darr Wise Piano Competition (Division 1), and first in the 2024 SC-MTNA Piano Duet competition (senior level). Andrew was the principal keyboardist/pianist of the Young Artist Orchestra (YAO), Greenville, South Carolina. He recently won the YAO Concerto Competition and performed the third movement of Grieg’s piano concerto at the Peace Center. Andrew is the manager and organizer for a musical recital program for a local nursing home. Beyond the realm of music, he swims competitively and is captain of his high school State team.
