Porcelain Teapot By Morgan McCarver
Morgan McCarver was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Her work is inspired by her female mentors of past and present, as well as her connection to Victorian corsetry through her scoliosis journey. Each porcelain piece is slip cast from handmade molds. She then applies hand drawn images of flowers inspired by her natural environment.
The 4 wildflower designs (Black Dogwood, Black Thistle, Blue Violet, Blue Wisteria) are hand drawn and screen printed as underglaze transfers onto my porcelain.
While porcelain is quite strong, it does not like sudden temperature shock (do not put frozen porcelain in a preheated oven).
This work is created to be used and loved. It is inspired by the porcelain masters of old but brings a contemporary twist. Treat it gently and it can last for decades!
Porcelain. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
