In this three-part class, capture unique photographs of autumn landscapes and foliage in the forests and vistas along the Blue Ridge Parkway and in nearby parks! Explore what makes a photograph of a place compelling, and how to bring a scene to life. Emphasis is placed on observation, experimentation, and learning to evoke the essence of a landscape. Topics include composition, depth-of-field, histograms, filtration, ISO, and equipment choices. Classroom time includes editing, critique, demonstrations, and image enhancement using Lightroom and Photoshop. Students bring their own digital camera (smartphone, point-and-shoot, or SLR) and should have a working knowledge of how to operate it.
