Fund The Need Donation - Gala 2025
As we navigate challenging times, the Asheville Art Museum remains committed to our mission of engaging, enlightening, and inspiring individuals through dynamic experiences in American art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Recently, we’ve faced significant obstacles—from the devastating impact of a hurricane, to funding cuts resulting from shifts in governmental priorities, including reductions to the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), among other essential grant programs. These changes have put a strain on cultural institutions nationwide, making your support more vital than ever before.
Despite these challenges, the Museum continues to be a vibrant center for creativity, providing a sanctuary for artistic expression and serving as an educational resource for our community. Your support allows us to sustain and expand our diverse programs, exhibitions, and educational initiatives that inspire and transform lives.
Your belief in the power of art and your continued dedication are essential to ensuring the Museum remains a thriving cultural and educational hub for years to come.
As we look to the future, we ask for your support through our "Fund the Need" initiative. Contributions to this fund will directly support:
- Access to the Museum’s Collection and the presentation of dynamic, world-class exhibitions.
- Lifelong learning programs that serve students of all ages and provide high-quality experiences in the visual arts.
- The development of new initiatives that expand access to art and education, particularly as we face ongoing funding challenges.
- Bus transportation for students in counties impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Your generosity ensures the Museum’s continued role as a vital cultural and educational resource, helping us transform lives through art now and in the future. Please consider raising your paddle more than once to contribute to our mission. Every donation is fully tax-deductible and directly supports our work.
Thank you for standing with us, and for art in our community.
