New Amsterdam String Band unites virtuosity, fiddling, and improvisation. Founded while still students at The Juilliard School, NASB finds its roots in historic string playing combined with New York City energy. The ensemble has performed with Rhiannon Giddens and Paul Simon, and recently recorded for an upcoming PBS documentary, produced by Ken Burns. New Amsterdam String Band's members are Jimmy Drancsak, Lydia Becker, Graham Cohen, Nathan Francisco, and Logan Zaud.
