The Art of Sound Healing

$15.00

We will embrace the fullness of the fall season to turn inward, root into stillness, and shed what no longer serves us. This morning sanctuary at the Museum offers space to rest, quiet the mind, and dream new intentions into existence. We will use breathwork, meditation, and a 50-minute sound bath to let go of old habits, attachments, and grief, and to drop deep into a state of profound, restorative rest.

Sound baths promote deep release and relaxation, entraining our brainwaves to shift into a dreamlike state. This gentle, grounding practice is open to everybody—no experience needed. Come as you are, tired or wired, or somewhere in between. Please bring a yoga mat or pad, along with anything else to make you comfortable, like cushions and blankets.

About the Instructor:

A Kripalu & Pranakriya-trained yoga instructor who has lived and taught in Asheville since 2004, he has completed more than 500 hours of yoga training and founded YogaBasics.com. He leads sound baths throughout Asheville, drawing on his training in acupuncture, bodywork, yoga energetics, anatomy, and physiology.

What are the Benefits to Sound Bowl Healing Music?

Sound bowl healing music involves the use of crystal or Tibetan singing bowls that produce harmonic vibrations. These vibrations are believed to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress, and support emotional and physical healing. The sound frequencies can help align chakras, calm the nervous system, and create a meditative state conducive to mindfulness and inner peace.
