Join us at the Museum for a harmonious blend of artistic inspiration and mindful movement! Each of our Saturday sessions from 10–11:15am on June 21st, July 19th, and August 16th will feature a yoga class followed by a short tour of one of our current exhibitions.

Your class pass not only grants you access to the yoga session and exhibition tour, but also allows you to explore the Museum at your leisure afterwards, or to visit our rooftop Perspective Café for coffee, tea, and pastries.

All levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat. No mat, no problem, the Museum has some extra mats to lend. Loose-fitting clothing is recommended, ensuring ease of movement as you flow through your practice.

Benefits:

  • Mindful Connection: connect with the present moment as you flow through your practice in relation to a thought-provoking artwork.
  • Artistic Inspiration: take advantage of practicing yoga in one of the most inspiring interior spaces in Asheville. Fuel your creativity and enhance the mind-body connection while meeting other artful yogis.

Practical Tips:

  • Arrive a little early to settle into the Museum’s ambiance and find your preferred spot in the Windgate Foundation Atrium.
  • Take advantage of the included Museum access after your session to further explore and reflect on the artworks on view.
  • Space is limited; advance registration is required.

The Art of Yoga series is taught by yoga teacher and musician Luna Ray Canter and Julie Levin Caro, an art historian, yoga teacher, and Head of Learning and Engagement at the Asheville Art Museum.
